Mission

As a non-profit, member-owned organization, the Habersham County Chamber of Commerce has as its mission to serve its members by promoting and advocating economic development, agriculture, tourism, quality growth, entrepreneurship and education.  The Chamber, by creating a positive business climate, seeks to enhance the quality of life in our area.

Vision

Our vision is to be recognized as the advocate for local businesses in Habersham County , serving as the local support for a business friendly environment and promoting tourism in Habersham County .

Values

We, the Habersham County Chamber of Commerce, are guided by the following Values. They describe our Chamber as we want it to be. We want our decisions and actions to demonstrate these Values. We believe that putting our Values into practice creates long-term benefits for the members we serve.

Short-Term Goals

1.     Bring greater value to Chamber membership resulting in increased membership.

2.    Work closely with Industrial Development Authority in promoting the Industrial Park.

3.    Promote Habersham County as a tourist destination.

4.    Fully utilize Officers, Directors and new President and staff in promoting the Chamber and in creating a strategic plan of action.

5.    Monitor and promote the Georgia Work ready Program.

Long-Term Goals

1. Provide benefits and services to our members that will stimulate their profitability, and help them grow personally and professionally

2. Promote and refer members to the general public and Facilitate expansion and retention of existing businesses and industries.

3. Promote tourism and provide efficient and friendly welcome centers

4. Promote new businesses and industries to the area and fosters entrepreneurship.

5. Encourage long-range community planning and development
