BUSINESS AFTER HOURS
Business After Hours is a networking event for members. Member businesses host these events, and they provide an opportunity for the business to promote itself within the community. There is no charge for being a host, but the company provides refreshments ranging from heavy hors d’oeuvres to a full buffet dinner. The host company may provide tours or just explain their services or products.
The normal date for a Business After Hours is the fourth Thursday of each month. Occasionally, this date gets changed to accommodate the hosting company. About three events during the year are coordinated with other chambers to provide more networking opportunities for attendees, and these dates may be different. Separate joint meetings are held each year with White and Rabun County Chambers.
The purpose of the event is for Chamber members to promote their businesses through networking. Members are encouraged to bring and exchange business cards, freely talk with others, and pass along leads.
Business After Hours provides a venue for new members to introduce themselves and their businesses. New members from the previous month have a special invitation to introduce themselves.
