Apple Blossom Festival & Treasure Sale
Saturday, April 12, 2008  10 am – 4 pm
Located in downtown Cornelia, Georgia, a day long festival including food, live music, arts, crafts, jewelry and treasure sale!  A cooking demonstration with Kathy Nicholson of the Southern Hospitality Show will be held inside Cornelia’s historic train depot with Mayor Margaret Ballard as “Celebrity Chef”.  Cornelia’s downtown merchants and Cornelia’s Sharing and Caring will all have special events and sales to tempt everyone.  The Habersham Historical Society Museum, which also houses a telephone museum, will also be open for tours.  For more information contact Andrea Harper, Better Hometown Manager, at 706-778-7875 or by e-mail at bht@corneliageorgia.org

Alto Spring Fling Parade & Festival

Habersham Bank Homecoming Celebration
Held on the grounds of the main office of Habersham Bank in Cornelia.  The event features a concert and fireworks display: Friday night, June 27, 2008.

2008 Spring Tour of Homes

Fourth Of July Celebration & Parade - July 4th Each Year

Glen-Ella Springs Annual Tomato Festival
July 20, 2008.  See and taste different varieties of heirloom tomatoes.  Purchase tomato sandwiches, fried green tomatoes and other delights.  Local artists will display tomato and vegetable themed paintings and pottery. 
Admission fee - $5.00 per person for daytime activities.

Northeast Georgia Antique Car Show
August 15-17, 2008.   Habersham County Fairgrounds, Toccoa Highway, Clarkesville. Sixty-five vehicle classes with more than 250 trophies awarded. For information call: 706-754-3987.

Big E Festival
The Loudermilk Boarding House Museum is open every Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m.
5 p.m. The annual Big E Festival will be held August 1 & 2, 2008 at the Loudermilk Boarding House Museum, 271 Foreacre St., Cornelia.
The festival will feature barbecue, boiled peanuts, live Elvis impersonators, peanut butter and banana sandwiches, Moon Pies, roasted peanuts, snowballs, tours of Everything Elvis, cold drinks, door prizes, Elvis trivia, raffles, Elvis auction and much more. Cash awards and prizes for Best Elvis. Museum opens at 10 a.m. Competition starts at 11 a.m. and ends when Elvis leaves the building. Bring the whole family and lawn chairs. Batesville Annual Historic Celebration (Batesville Days)
October 25, 2008.  10:00am to 4:00pm.  Held at Sunburst Stables, located 1 mile South of the Batesville Fire Station on Rt. 255.  Mountain music, BBQ, Turkey Shoot, Cake Walk, Horse & Buggy Rides, Wood Carving, Blacksmithing, Corn Shuck Dolls, Fol & Fine Art, Pottery, Quilt Raffle, Wool Spinning, Chain Saw Carving, Children's Activities. Proceeds to benefit Batesville Volunteer Fire Department.
